Hand Painted Fireboard
This is a wonderful reproduction of an 18th century fire board. These boards were used to close off the opening of a fireplaces when fires were not lit, helping to keep out drafts. This particular one is hand-painted, and depicts a mallard in flight the over water. It measures 36 inches wide, 29 inches tall, and the feet measure 8 inches deep and one half inch wide. Considering the size and weight of this article it is a PICK UP IN STORE ITEM.
