This amazing collectible Magic Lantern slide is hand painted in incredible detail on glass. Magic Lanterns were early projectors. The hand painted slides were projected on a screen with a showman telling stories about the images shown. Featured here is the slide "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" and shows a family greeting their loved one home from war. Measures 4" tall x 7" long.
